Privacy Policy
The short version: this site has no ads, no analytics, and no tracking cookies. I only collect what you choose to send me through a form, and I use it to reply to you. I never sell it.
Who I am
PeplowPC is a technology training and consulting business run by James Peplow in Illinois, USA. In this policy, “PeplowPC,” “I,” and “me” mean the business. You can reach me at james@peplowpc.com.
What I collect
Information you send me. When you use the contact form or the workshop planning form, I receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, organization, the topics you pick, and any message or notes.
Technical information. My hosting provider, Netlify, automatically processes basic technical data, like your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. I do not use this data to identify or profile you.
I do not collect payment information on this website.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies, and it does not use analytics, advertising, social media pixels, or other tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. Because there are no tracking cookies, there is no cookie banner. If that ever changes, I will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
How I use your information
- To reply to your message and set up a free intro call
- To prepare a quote and plan, schedule, and deliver a workshop
- To keep basic business records
- To keep the site secure and working
I don’t sell, rent, or trade your information, and I don’t use it for marketing lists unless you ask to be added.
Who I share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the site and reply to you: Netlify, which hosts the site and delivers form submissions, and my email provider. I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of PeplowPC or others.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiries as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business records, then delete them. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I have about you by emailing james@peplowpc.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, and I will honor requests as the law requires. I will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
This site uses HTTPS encryption and strict security settings, and access to form submissions is limited to me. No method of storing or sending data is 100% secure, so please don’t send sensitive details like passwords, account numbers, or Social Security numbers through the forms. If you think something on this site has a security problem, please email me.
Children
This site is meant for adults and organizations. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to outside sites, like ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I’ll post the new version here and update the effective date.
